My Felicity

In this hustle-bustle world the word happiness is something comes to luxury.  It differs from the persons mental aspect, experience and environment on how he/she perceives happiness. There are times that we based our happiness in simplicity, some with material things and other by just having what they have. As the Webster dictionary states, Happiness is a pleasurable or satisfying experience.

What is felicity to me? How do I define happiness? Happiness for me is doing what I love without boundaries. It comes from my freedom of servitude, my free will because choosing is the first step in achieving what I really want that will satisfy my being. Now a day, there are huge population who has deprived of their rights. In my solemn time I always thought of them, what if I am also experiencing what they are been through? Would I become happy?

What makes me happy? I am a family oriented person, anything about my family would make me feel happy. My family is my comfort zone. They are the ones who give me assurance that in spite of pain, failures, and disappointments, they’ll always be there for me.  When I see my mother happy and having a comfortable life,  that’s happiness. My closeness with my sibling is the solid foundation of who I am. They’re my safe haven and my sanctuary. The whole world can detest me but my family would remain my best ally.

Happiness is also mean doing something worthwhile. Being a nurse is quite challenging but I embrace my work with determination, dedication and compassion. My desire to serve and be the best nurse I could be is very intense. Seing my patients in bed and be part of their healing process is priceless. It makes me happy and fulfilled when they expresses their satisfaction in my work. Their smiles touches my heart and give me assurance that I am doing great in my craft. I am redefining my purpose, rekindling the lost passion to serve, right now I am in a better place. I am a believer in volunteerism. Being part of Red Cross, and Philippine Animal Welfare Society is a dream come true in developing my growth. I am not just rediscovering my value but also reaching out to those who are unfortunate enough in our society.

I am secure with my life now.I have peace of mind. Although from time to time I still feel the urge to strive harder but I am contented. I reach the point where I appreciate the life itself. My heart is full of love. My fiance is also one of the determining factors why I am happy. He always showed me a pure love and help me realized my dream by being supportive in my endeavors.

What could I ask for? I may not rich in material things but I am so blessed because God always open the doors of unending possibilities not only for myself but for my love ones.

I was dwindling in the world full of pain and disappointments, I was in the midst of uncertainties but in spite of my situation you embraced me with your pure intention and love.  The first time you uttered the word I love you, my life changed.

Whenever I have hit rock-bottom, you have always been there to pull me back up on the ground. Now, it is becoming difficult because I am wanting you so bad. I want to be with you, to see you and to spend my whole life beside you.

Everything is well appreciative Honey. I love you!

Last Sunday also, I've started my English Proficiency Class. My classmates are degree holder, they are taking the English class in preparation for  International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. I am challenging myself to correct my diction/accent and pronunciation and hopefully speaks English fluently.

Since my schedule is becoming hectic, I have to sacrifice my work at Medical City.

Thank you Lord for always guiding my way.
I love you Jesus!

I have often dreamed, of a far off place

Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying, this is where I'm meant to be

I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way, if I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile, will be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong

Down an unknown road, to embrace my fate

Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you
And a thousand years, would be worth the wait
It might take a lifetime, but somehow I'll see it through

And I won't look back, I can go the distance

And I'll stay on track, no, I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope, but I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance, and my journey is complete

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part

For a hero's strength is measured by his heart

Like a shooting star, I will go the distance

I will search the world, I will face it's harms
I don't care how far, i can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

I will search the world, I will face it's harms

Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

This song means a lot to me. I am walking in a path which I am certain will lead me to paradise. God created me to be the best person and live a life that is acceptable to Him. I am in harmony with everything. My actions, words, and thoughts are aligned to each other. I am into a relationship that honor Him; I am not a mistress and I don't wrecked any relationship just to get what would satisfy my happiness.

I love my life now; stress free.

I am also qualified in one month seminar for free at St. Paul University. I will start my English Proficiency Class on Sunday at St. Augustine School of Nursing. Although, I have no rest day now for Mon to Fri is my Massage Therapy Class, Saturday my seminar and training, and Sunday for English Class I am not complaining because I am getting the knowledge that will enhance my abilities and skills that will serve as my armor in my future plans.

See you soon, New York!

The seminar was my first as a Paulinian student. I know there are more seminar to be conducted by our school. It was a renewed experienced, boosting our self confidence. We had a chance knowing our weaknesses and inner voices. The speaker was good in the chosen topic, she is well respected as a psychologist and writer too.

I was surprised to be awarded as the best corporate look and best in name tag. I even asked Dr. Nimfa de Vera why  I was voted as a best in corporate look "Gemma, you look radiant and you have a smile that spell happiness. You served as an inspiration to your classmates." I am honored for that remarks because it was an assurance that I am making a good progress in my personality development.

Looking back, I had lots of negativity in my mind, self-esteem was my problem but when I started acquiring good people and be active in charity I felt good about myself. I became more loving and compassionate to vothers. I rarely complain, I see things differently and I begun to notice the good side in every person I meet.

My Paulinian identity is a blessing.
